Reach RS4

All Emlid receivers offer centimeter-level accuracy (1 cm ≈ 0.39 in). The Reach RS4 also features tilt compensation, allowing you to maintain the same level of accuracy even if the pole is tilted.

The Reach RS4 is one of the latest models in Emlid’s range of field-ready receivers. With all-band RTK support and tilt compensation, as well as a dual-band radio, it can operate as both a base and a rover, covering a wide range of applications — from design set-out and as-builts to drone mapping.

The Reach RS4 is compatible with the majority of RTK drones, including models from DJI, Autel and Skydio. The GNSS receiver acts as a base station, sending corrections to the drone’s remote controller via Emlid NTRIP Caster over the internet or Local NTRIP within a Wi-Fi network. The latter is useful in remote areas with no cellular coverage. Reach broadcasts its Wi-Fi hotspot by default.

Emlid Reach RS4 offers greater versatility as it is not only a base station, but also a fully-fledged GNSS receiver. It is capable of supporting high-precision terrestrial applications in construction, civil engineering, boundary surveys, topography and mapping.

Additionally, the Reach RS4 transmits base corrections in the RTCM3 format via the Emlid NTRIP Caster over the internet or through a UHF radio. This allows GNSS receivers from other brands that support RTCM3 to be used as rovers with the Reach RS4 as the base.

With all-band RTK support and 672 channels, Reach RS4 can provide centimeter-level accuracy and stable performance, even under canopies or in urban canyons. Another significant improvement over the Reach RS3 is the two-way dual-band radio, which provides licence-free 915 MHz LoRa and licensed 450 MHz UHF operation.

Reach RS4 is also more durable, featuring a new magnesium alloy body, IP68 protection, and a temperature range of -40 to +65°C.

The Reach RS4 offers tilt compensation and all-band support, which is helpful for construction work. It allows you to obtain a fix and shoot points in hard-to-reach spots, such as building or fence corners, road manholes and ditch bottoms. This speeds up the collection and staking out process on site.

The software could also be instrumental in decision-making. Each Reach RS4 device comes with the Emlid Flow mobile and cloud app, which has all the features required for construction applications.

If a unit is found to be defective or does not meet specifications during the warranty period, we will provide a replacement. A new unit will be shipped within one month after examination, free of charge. If a replacement is not possible, a full refund will be issued within one month after the unit’s examination.
