Reach RS2+

The Reach RS2+ delivers centimeter-level accuracy (1 cm ≈ 0.39 in.) in various surveying applications. In Real-Time Kinematic (RTK) mode, it achieves horizontal accuracy of approximately 7 mm plus 1 ppm (parts per million) of the baseline distance, and vertical accuracy of about 14 mm plus 1 ppm. This means that for a baseline distance of 10 km, the total expected horizontal accuracy would be 17 mm, and the vertical accuracy would be 24 mm.

Reach RS2+ is a versatile model suitable for various environments and applications. Widely known for it's connectivity, this receiver can be easily integrated with the following equipment:

• RTK drones to increase the accuracy of drone surveying results;
• GPRs to monitor civil structures such as bridges, tunnels, and buildings;
• bathymetric equipment to capture the geospatial data of the coastline and shallow waters;
• tractors and other agricultural machinery to enable steering guidance.

Yes, the Reach RS2+ is compatible with RTK drones and can serve as a base station to provide real-time kinematic (RTK) corrections, enhancing the accuracy of aerial mapping and surveying missions. It integrates seamlessly with various RTK-capable drones from manufacturers such as DJI, Autel, Skydio.

Integration with DJI RTK drones:
The Reach RS2+ can be configured as a base station for DJI RTK drones, including models like the Phantom 4 RTK, Mavic 3E, and Matrice 300 RTK. Corrections can be transmitted via Emlid Caster over the internet or through the Local NTRIP option in the Emlid Flow app, which doesn't require an internet connection. This flexibility ensures reliable communication between the Reach RS2+ and the drone during flight operations.

Integration with Autel RTK drones:
Similarly, the Reach RS2+ is compatible with Autel's RTK-capable drones, such as the EVO II Enterprise series. The setup involves configuring the Reach RS2+ to send RTK corrections to the drone, either via Emlid Caster or the Local NTRIP option, depending on the availability of an internet connection.

Reach RS3 differs from the Reach RS2+ mainly in its tilt compensation (allowing accurate measurements with up to 60° tilt) and dual-band radio (supporting both LoRa and UHF for better third-party compatibility). Both offer multi-band GNSS, LTE, long battery life, and rugged design, but the RS3 provides more flexibility for advanced surveying tasks.

Reach RS2+ supports exporting survey data in industry-standard formats such as RINEX for raw data and NMEA for position output, ensuring compatibility with various post-processing software.

Our warranty covers defects and performance issues for one year (for Reach RS3). If a unit is found to be faulty or does not meet specifications within this period, we will provide a replacement. A new unit will be dispatched within one month after examination, free of charge. If a replacement is not an option, we will issue a full refund within one month after the unit’s examination.
